(More customer reviews)So my wife didn't like the way the speakers looked in the family room for our entertainment system. So those were out and some alternative was needed. I told her up front that the sound quality would suffer with ceiling speakers but she was adamant. The first pair I tried was from Polk. They were less than impressive. So I stepped up the search and found these. In order to produce reasonable quality sound from a ceiling speaker it seems that you must be charged 3X the equivalent floor standing or bookshelf speaker price. As an engineer I can appreciate the acoustic problems associated with sound production from a ceiling location in an undefined room environment but really ....... 3X. So, I ended up with the same sound quality of a couple reasonable book-shelf speakers. These are fairly well made and are easy to install. As I have mentioned the sound quality is okay. Not the best purchase I ever made but not the worst either. On a more positive note all the family room speakers ended up in my den and that ROCKS!!!!
