(More customer reviews)I bought these to hook up an RCA surround sound system, they are heavy and sturdy on both carpet and hard surface flooring. I was a bit leary when I saw reviews that said they didn't stand up well on carpet but I have had no problems...they are not bolted down to the floor so if you were to smack into them they would fall over - but seriously one should expect that to be the case. If you plan on wrestling about then perhaps you should attach your speakers to the wall.I did have one stand that must have had some flashing on the inside pole because it took a bit of engineering to get the speaker wire through but it eventually went and I had no issues with the other 3. These are working well and keeping all the wires neat which is a problem with speakers that you are standing around a room. I recommend these, you won't be disappointed.
